D35a 1951-2 1/2d Bright Orange Colours Change Postage Due Watermark in very fine and fresh lightly mounted mint condition with just some minor hinge top fragment remains.

A much scarcer stamp than either catalogue or retail lists will suggest in this true both deeper and brighter shade. It has been considered in some thoughts that it is actually from the later Q.Elizabeth printing that more closely resembles the shade and that in fact a single sheet was discovered with what was essentially an "error of watermark" of that issue rather than a deeper shade of the George VI.
