SG 284 2 1/2d Dull Blue M18 (3) Double Gum in generally fine and fresh lightly mounted mint condition with small sections of hinge top remnants on this interesting variety with characteristic thick, shiny gum first noted by Beaumont and Easton in their 1954 RPSL book that should be essential reading for all serious philatelists especially of this Edwardian era.

Here with diagonal bend that is just visible to face under close, angled inspection. The gum has been recorded on Harrison's 1d and 2 1/2d values though considerably scarcer in my findings and research on the latter. It has also been noted on a very small number of M27 4Dds so well worth bearing in mind and looking out for.
