VAR311 10d Deep Dull Purple & Carmine M44 (7) in average mounted mint condition with diagonal gum crease reflected in grade and price for this previously unrecorded variety.

It has marks before and after "POSTAGE &" rather than the "usual" lower line of "REVENUE". Also seen and obviously related is the distorted outer portrait frame to left hand side including both triangular corner pieces. Very interesting stamp to the collector and student of such stamps.
